Our Shop Is A Busy Place We stay busy all the time and our dye shop and quilting studio are constantly filled with new projects and activities. Below are some of the most recent quilts we’ve received and are currently in queue for our quilting, binding and other finishing services. Ms. L, New York She just found us on the web and sent us this cute baby quilt. It is a simple design and the quilter is looking for an equally simple all over pattern that won’t be too overbearing. From our web site she has selected the Apple Core pattern (AppleC01) to be scaled large and executed in Maxi-Lock Sunlight AE540 yellow thread. *** Mrs. S, New York We first met Mrs. S at a quilt show in NJ where one of her entries earned a First Prize. We are encouraged that this award winning quilter has selected Little Red Quilt House for this next project. The quilt service will involve mid‑line quilting within the central swirls and an echo trace inside and outside the flower images. Thread is an unidentified multi-colored brand provided by Mrs. S specifically for the project. Little Red Quilt House was particularly chosen for this project because Mrs. S wants black wool batting, thus this project will incorporate three yards of ColorWUL batting in black. The objective is to eliminate any white needle spots or bearding that would otherwise occur with white or light colored batting. Here’s her magnificent quilt top! *** Mrs O, Tennessee We met Mrs O at the Nashville AQS show this year and she has sent to us a lovely quilt of light green and pink fans with a pink border. As of this writing we are developing quilt and process strategy with Mrs O. Stay tuned for the latest developments with this quilt. She has so far requested a matching natural muslin lining, batting and binding services in addition to the quilting.
