Red Quilt House announces that the complete YLI thread line will now be
stocked for customers to utilize in their quilting projects. “We continue to
expand our thread line to offer the widest variety of options for quilters to
meet their finishing goals,” said Janice Roy, Founder of Little Red Quilt
House. “With our customer base of over 425 quilters in 24 States, it is often
not possible for a quilter to acquire exactly the threads they want from
their local quilt shop. And especially for quilters who mail us quilts the
thread, batting and other items beyond the quilt itself add weight and cost
for shipping. By stocking a broad assortment of threads and battings we can
help quilters reduce the overall cost of their project.” Mrs Roy continued,
“And of course we will continue to include thread in the basic price for our
quilting services to give our customers the greatest value in return for
entrusting us with their projects.”

YLI’s
Machine Quilting Thread is made from the finest long staple cotton found
any where in the world. This mercerized quilting thread is made expressly
for the machine, but hand quilters love it as well. Soft and smooth, with
almost no fuzz or lint you will find it a pleasure to work with. The 15
solid colors represent the best selling colors of the original YLI 100%
Cotton Quilting Thread and the 25 variegated shades offer a tantalizing

Variegated threads must be tested by customers for color
fastness for the end use of this product. Especially such designs that
combine heavy shades of variegated threads with light or natural shades in
the same fabric.
These
threads may have a poor resistance to bleaches and water contaminants such
as chlorine and metal ions. Shades of turquoise are more prone to color
change and cross-stain during washing under such conditions.
For
extremely dark shades of variegated threads, customers are recommended to
run washing trials on their garments to ensure no staining.
Fabrics
containing these threads should be labeled “Wash in
warm water using a detergent such as tide. Wash colors
separately. Do not use Chlorine bleach. Tumble dry, gentle cycle,
immediately. Dry clean for best results”
