We received your Quilt of Valor and we are going to give the quilt to one of our Intensive Care Unit patients. I want to thank you on behalf of the Marine Liaison Staff here and the patients. We really appreciate it and are glad to hear that we are supported back home, especially the patients…” And then this follow up. “Hello Ma'am, We just wanted you to know that your quilt was given to a Gunnery Sergeant, he's an ICU patient. When he came out of his sedation he was very please and even smiled!! Our address here is good for at least another 6 months. Once again thank you and your team for all that you do! SSgt Estrada” These emails were the result of one of many “Quilts of Valor” that Little Red Quilt House has enjoyed the opportunity to finish, or make available our studio and equipment for our local Guild members to finish, for US Armed Services personnel engaged in their duties around the world. “We rarely hear about where these quilts go or to whom they are given,” said Janice Roy, Founder of Little Red Quilt House. “We’re proud of the part we play completing these quilts and helping to provide them to these service people deserving of our support and gratitude.” To US Armed Services people stationed at home and around the world we send our wishes for a speedy return home at the earliest possible date.
