Little Red Quilt House Joins 2005 I-95 Quilters Quest Shop Hop

Fairfield, CT (25 January 2005) – Little Red Quilt House announces participation in the 2005 I-95 Quilters Quest shop hop including shops and studios from Mamaroneck, New York to Pawcatuck, Connecticut. “This Shop Hop has been organized differently than most in that it includes a broader range of shops to address the larger artistic options available in our area,“ said Janice Roy, founder of Little Red Quilt House.  “This year the hop will include a bead shop, our quilting studio and, of course, a collection of fine quilt shops. The objective of this hop is to expose quilters to the availability of the great assortment of materials and services that can be used to extend the artistic outcome of their projects.”

A $5.00 registration starts your mystery tour. Upon registration you’ll receive a gift with purchase, your Mystery Passport and directions to each shop. Quilters Quest shop hop participants will pick up blocks for a custom designed mystery quilt project as well as special discounts and prizes at each location. All participants who complete the hop will receive the materials to complete their quilt top and are also eligible for special drawings of product and service package prizes.

“We were at first surprised when contacted by our quilt shop partners asking us to participate. But we completely agree with the education and information concept of this hop,” explained Mrs. Roy. “This hop will be an important vehicle for quilters to look at the art differently and consider incorporating new methods and materials into their quilts. To expand their options and perspective regarding what a quilt can be.”

Little Red Quilt House is a 100% woman owned business offering kits, hand dyed fabrics, supplies and services for quilters and other textile artisans.
