Fairfield, CT – 04 November 2002 Little Red Quilt House Secures SBA Financing for Expansion Working closely with the Connecticut Small Business Development Center in Bridgeport, CT (CSBDC WebSite) and the Hartford, CT office of the US Small Business Administration (SBA Web Site), Little Red Quilt House has secured additional financing to fuel business expansion plans for CY2003 and beyond. “This financing package will allow us to move from our basement home business into needed factory space and acquire new equipment, saleable inventory, and materials for our value added products and services,” said proprietor Janice Roy. “The CSBDC office in Bridgeport, CT was invaluable in providing us with guidance, resources and the direction we needed to make this transition,” said Mrs. Roy. “With their help we were able to quickly – two months from start to finish – complete all the necessary federal application forms and get a commitment from a local bank. Everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the entire process.” With this new round of funding, Little Red Quilt House plans to acquire factory space, new equipment for quilting and finishing services, and materials to expand hand dyed fabric manufacturing and product offerings.
