Little Red Quilt House Moves To New Factory Space

Little Red Quilt House has moved to 5700 square feet of factory space in the Bridgeport Innovation Center, Bridgeport, CT. “This new factory space offers us the room we need to expand our business,” said Janice Roy, LRQH proprietor. “Working from our home was restrictive and some of our processes, like hand dyed fabrics, were becoming difficult to manage in our cramped home‑based area.” Mrs. Roy continued “This new factory space allows us to properly outfit all the essential manufacturing, production and service offerings of the business for several years to come.”

The Bridgeport Innovation Center (BIC Web Site) is a small business incubator located in a Connecticut state and federally defined economic development zone. Incubator sites help small business owners make the important growth steps and business connections necessary for continued success. “The campus facilities, access to skilled labor, and economic incentives available by locating at the BIC are key to our future,” said Mrs. Roy. “The location is also close to our Fairfield, CT home which means we can continue to run our business without loosing contact with our growing children.” Mrs. Roy confided, “Often small business people become so wrapped up in their business they loose touch with their family. It is important to us that we maintain a stable and healthy fulltime relationship with our children, and this move allows us to do just that. We can be successful as parents and business persons.”

Little Red Quilt House is a 100% woman owned business offering kits, hand dyed fabrics, supplies and services for quilt and other fabric artists. Visit our web site at www.LRQH.com.
